Our project was a significant undertaking, as we were part of a design build team responsible for constructing a 75,000 square foot facility with multiple components. First and foremost, we built a repair garage specifically designed to cater to DTE’s large truck fleet. This garage was equipped with state-of-the-art equipment and infrastructure to efficiently service and maintain the trucks. In addition to the repair garage, we also constructed a spacious warehouse that served as a central hub for storing and distributing materials to DTE’s crew members. This ensured that the crew had easy access to the necessary supplies to carry out their work effectively.
Another crucial component of the facility was the establishment of a cutting-edge secondary power outage service center that would provide assistance to the metro Detroit area. This state-of-the-art facility was equipped with the latest technology and infrastructure to handle power outages swiftly and efficiently, ensuring minimal disruptions for the residents. Lastly, we created a support office space to accommodate the administrative needs of the facility, providing a centralized area for staff to manage operations and foster collaboration. Overall, our project aimed to design and construct a comprehensive facility that met DTE’s diverse needs, including truck maintenance, material warehousing, power outage support, and administrative support.
